Magnificent post and beam home in Waitsfield on 26 acres offers privacy, meadows, and exquisite views. Centrally located in close proximity to Sugarbush, Mad River and Stowe ski areas, as well as Montpelier and Burlington.

In the winter, enjoy skiing at Sugarbush and Mad River, 20 minutes away, or travel to Stowe Mountain Resort just 30 minutes to the north. Enjoy ice skating at the Skatium, snowshoeing through the woods, and cross-country skiing at Ole’s cross country ski center in Warren or Trapp’s Family Lodge in Stowe. In summer, enjoy Icelandic horseback riding, mountain biking, soaring, tennis, golf, kayaking or canoeing down the Mad River, swimming in Blueberry Lake, or fishing in local reservoirs and streams. Or, just head down to the farmer’s market for a leisurely Saturday morning.

Our home is over 3,000 sq. ft. with 3 bedrooms, large office, breakfast room, dining room, living room, 3 full bathrooms, mud room, and laundry area. It features a wrap-around porch with a spectacular view of Camels Hump and the Green Mountain Range to the west. There is a small pond for children to catch frogs, and access to hiking and bicycling. Enjoy autumn foliage, berry picking, spas, the local theater and playhouses, opera and jazz festivals, and the International film festival.

Available by inquiry. We will consider short-term rental of two (2) or more days, week rentals or seasonal rental. Reduced rental cost reflects minor improvements still to be completed in the home such as incomplete baseboard and temporary banisters. Linens are included.

$250 per night weekdays for 2 night minimum; $700 per weekend; $1,400 per week. Holiday weeks include a premium. Non-smokers only. Security deposit required. Pre-payment by pay pal or other acceptable method required.

We offer books, games, puzzles, cable television, DVD player, wireless internet, and a stereo with CD. Firewood is provided, along with deck and lawn furniture.
