This region includes two ski resorts, Bromley and Magic Mountain, and is within an easy drive of the Stratton ski area. A little bit longer drive will take you to either of the large ski resorts of Mount Snow or Okemo. Meanwhile, the nearby shopping and cultural mecca of Manchester offers off-slope options.

Bromley is an historic ski area in the town of Peru with an unusual feature: many of the trails face south, making for good visibility and warmth on sunny days. The area has 45 trials and 9 lifts, including a high-speed quad. Midweek ski tickets are often very reasonably priced. In warmer months, Bromley Summer Adventure offers family activities ranging from an alpine slide, to a zipline, to a water slide.

Magic Mountain, located in Londonderry, is an old-fashioned Vermont ski area with 48 trails, 37% of which are black diamond or double black diamond. Magic is also known for affordable lift ticket prices.

In spring, summer and fall, this region offers hiking and biking, and features a variety of art galleries and restaurants. If you enjoy theater, consider visiting the Weston Playhouse in Weston, a town that is also home to the Vermont Country Store. Or take a short drive to the historic towns of Chester and Grafton, home to the Grafton Village Cheese Company. In summer, visit the Jamaica State Park in nearby Jamaica to take a walk, or swim in the popular swimming hole there.

The centrally located Bromley-Londonderry region can provide anyone renting one of the vacation rental properties in this area a relaxed, healthy change of pace.

Accessible from Interstate 91 or Route 7, the region is also not far from airports in Albany, NY, Hartford, CT and Boston.
