Lovely cottage surrounded by trees, off a quiet private road and away from hubbub. Great for romantic or family getaways. Cozy cabin-style feel with knotty pine paneling, stone fireplace, and large deck overlooking beautiful Lake Dunmore. Watch sunsets over the lake from the sweeping deck or screened porch. Toast marshmallows over a campfire in the fire pit at the water's edge. Swim or fish off our private dock. Walk to spectacular hiking trails overlooking waterfalls and Green Mountain vistas. Or simply relax in an Adirondack chair by the lake.

Two bedrooms, one with queen bed, one with twin beds. Pull-out sofabed in living room. Well-equipped kitchen includes microwave, gourmet extras. Blankets, pillows provided; guests bring own linens, towels. There is a furnace if weather is cool and ceiling fans for when it's warm. Canoes, rowboat, kayaks, gas grill available. We have cable TV, wi-fi, DVD, VCR, and blue-tooth speaker. Those desiring a break from technology may ignore those and enjoy books, games, puzzles, hummingbird watching, and loon spotting.

Excellent swimming, boating, fishing. Great hiking trails nearby. Close to restaurants, breweries, shops, art galleries in Middlebury and Brandon. Perfect for families visiting Middlebury College. Will consider one sweet, well-behaved dog. No cats. NO smoking on the premises. We welcome renters who will respect our home away from home and the surrounding beauty of Vermont.

Minimum one week rental (Sat-Sat) June - September.
Weeks or Weekends on request October through May (minimum 3 nights). Sorry- his year no winter rentals.
No long-term rentals (we need time to be there ourselves! It really is our beloved home away from home.)
