The property is unique - Please give us information in your booking request for us to know more about your family (#of adults, # of children and ages) and the circumstances of why you are traveling to Lake Fairlee to make sure we are a good fit. Birch Point Lane Cottages:
'Alpine' cottage on the hill is a 2-bedroom fully refurbished cottage. 'Camp-like' bedroom setup with a queen bed in one BR, & twin over full bunk beds in 2nd bedroom (open ceiling for air flow). Remodeled custom kitchen is well appointed with soapstone island. The living area is open to both kitchen and dining area, has leather Euro-sleeper sofa and seating for 5, HDTV. Most of the cottage has views of western horizon and beautiful Lake Fairlee. Pellet stove, air conditioner, Smart TV, Wi-Fi, and Domestic long distance included.
'Lakeside' cottage sits directly on water; is a honeymooners-style studio with a queen bed, bathroom, small kitchen and living area with a spectacular view of the lake and mountains. There is a day-bed with trundle, sitting area, and quaint bistro - dining area. Kitchen comes nicely appointed for most cooks. There is also an outdoor shower, an air conditioner and space heater. There is a Bose wave stereo/CD player - no TV and no phone in Lakeside. Gas grill, outdoor seating areas, campfire pit, private dock with ladder, swim out float, paddle board, kayaks, canoe, rowboat all come with rental. Pontoon boat rental is available for $400 a week


The rental includes both cottages. Alpine' has a classic cottage feel, with knotty pine and hardwood floors, screen door and high ceilings. 'Lakeside' is perfect for two and or to host overnight guests. Or, use Lakeside for a changing room while gathering down at the Lake, make lunch there, take a quiet nap there, play a board game with the kids, or maybe use it's space for yoga or meditation. We think you will love the charm of Lakeside and the functionality of Alpine. Both cottages come tastefully furnished with a mix of antiques and modern comforts. Artesian well-water, no need to lug in bottled water. Septic strictly limits the rental to 8 overnight guests.
Parking spot for 4 cars is up by Alpine. We have a Vermont-Cart to help get your gear down to Lakeside. Please note that the property has a moderate-sloped pitch down towards the Lake. Also a 'woods-y' topography (exposed roots, rocks and pine needles etc) - It is not suitable for infants, toddlers or anyone with unsteady legs.
Please note that the property has privacy, but we are not secluded. Our own "Lodge" residence is adjacent to Lakeside cabin. Renters have their own parking, dock, firepit, access to lake etc. Owner's do not share any space with renters, but you will see us and our 2 golden retrievers. We have rented vacation homes ourselves and understand the need for your own experience - we are onsite to answer questions or handle issues, but we do not interfere with our renters vacation. I can offer references from renters, some of which are 9 year repeaters. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out.

$2,695 a week + 9% VT tax + $250 cleaning fee
September: 3 night minimum @ $350/ngt + tax + cleaning
PONTOON RENTAL $400/ WEEK
$500 Deposit on credit card, secures your dates and is applied to first half rent. Balance of first half and the signed rental agreement due on or before 30 days of booking. Final half rent+ cleaning due upon arrival, credit card or cashier's check only.
Dogs(2 max) would be considered with prior permission and pet addendum signed. Please note no dogs are allowed in the Lakeside cabin, only Alpine
